Eating for your cycle

Before diving straight into which foods best support each phase of the cycle, I feel it is important to understand and identify when there is inflammation in the body. Especially when it comes to the menstrual cycle, most women usually just put up with symptoms and don’t talk about them.

So many people in our culture experience poor gut health and their bodies are in a constant state of inflammation due to stress, diet, exposure to endocrine disruptors and poor sleep quality. Unaddressed inflammation may manifest in a magnitude of different physical/emotional symptoms and other health challenges.

I have been on my own gut healing journey, informed by a practice of menstrual cycle awareness and a holistic approach. I now know it is possible to feel amazing and that you don’t have to put up with constant bloating or pain!

If you are feeling the call to reduce inflammation in your body and feel in control of your gut health but don’t know where to start… finding a support network of professionals can really set a strong foundation. I am so passionate about empowering clients to create habits that are sustainable and become a lifestyle.

It can be overwhelming at times with the amount of information there is on diet and nutrition. I have found that simplicity and eating as close to nature as possible works best.

If you are experiencing cycle challenges, focusing on nutrition is one of the first steps in addressing imbalances and inflammation.

I am not a nutritionist, but these are the guidelines that I live by to support my own body as it ebbs and flows between each phase of my cycle.

When it comes to the menstrual cycle and hormone health, there is never a one size fits all approach. Instead it requires a journey of self inquiry and exploring what feels good for you. This is why I am so passionate about tracking your cycle as a practice of tuning in daily and noticing how your body and emotions respond to changes in lifestyle, diet and the external environment.

If you are feeling the call to begin tracking your cycle and connecting with your unique rhythms ~ you can download my free tracker and accompanying guide in my bio to take the first step in coming home to yourself
